COVID-19 UPDATE

March 20th, 2020

We would like to thank all of our family, friends and fellow dance and drum mates for your support of our first annual drum and dance conference.

At this time, all of our efforts have been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have purchased a ticket to any part of our event, those tickets will be honored. In the interim, we ask that you all continue practicing social distancing for the health and safety of our community. This is a critical moment in the world that is impacting our lives like we've never seen before.

We thank you for your patience and will update you as soon as the CDC permits things are safe to resume. Again, your health and wellness are of upmost importance, so please stay safe and follow proper protocol.

Sincerely,

SUAH African Dance Theatre

SADDE CONFERENCE DATE CHANGE!!!

March 13, 2020

Hello SADDE family and friends,

It is with great sadness that SADDE has postponed our amazing event that was scheduled for next weekend March 20th-22nd. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the City has mandated that there should be no event gatherings with more than 100 people. With these restrictions, we have no choice but to comply. We want to thank you all for your support and please note that it's not canceled just postponed. Please contact us with questions or concerns. Thank you again and please look out for our new conference dates (Sept. 25th - 27th, 2020) and schedule coming soon‼️

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

March 10th, 2020

Dear SADDE Family and Friends:

We look forward to welcoming you to the first annual Suah African Drum & Dance Exchange from March 20 - 22, 2020 in Greensboro, NC for a highly engaging and rewarding convening of West African drummers, dancers, students, as well as health care experts and mental health professionals. SADDE's leadership, volunteers, and staff are hard at work putting the finishing touches on the class schedule and program, and look forward to a successful conference.

Many of you may have expressed concern about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as it impacts communities throughout the world. We are actively monitoring the news and health reports, and there are zero confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Greensboro, no coronavirus circulating in the city, and no recommendations to cancel activities.

At this juncture, there appears to be no imminent risk of becoming infected by virtue of being in Greensboro. SADDE will continue to monitor statements from Greensboro's public officials, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization regarding COVID-19 and follow guidelines from these agencies and the local health departments. We will inform SADDE registrants if changes happen.

We will see you on March 20th!

Peace & Blessings,
Wesley Williams, Director of SUAH African Drum & Dance Exchange
